This two-story, 23,500 square foot medical
office building is the latest addition to the University of California
at San Diego
School of Medicine. As part of the Shiley Eye Center, this building
houses laboratory and treatment rooms for retina and glaucoma research.
The building is a steel framed structure and is designed to provide
vibration resistant floor systems for the second floor laboratories. In
addition, an elevated pedestrian bridge connects the second floor of
this building to the adjacent Shiley Eye Clinic.
