        Innovative structural design was employed for the complete architectural 
        and structural renovation of this c. 1887, 3-story, 23,100 square foot McGurck Building in the Gaslamp District of 
        downtown San Diego. A complete seismic upgrade included use of eccentric 
        braced frames and special moment resistive "tree" frames. 
          
        The building was developed in cooperation with Centre City Development 
        Corp. (CCDC) 
        and is a historically designated structure. This project was recipient 
        the of 
        an AIA Citation for Historic Preservation.
