The Copley-San Diego County Central Animal Control Shelter is a one-story, masonry & wood-framed, 38,085 square foot animal shelter, comprised of indoor dog kennels, indoor rooms for cats and an administrative building, was built using Design/Build methodology.

It was recipient of the AIA's 2002 Orchid for Public Art and also received a Commendation Letter from the City of San Diego.
