This Design/Build project involved the
structural design and detailing of a four-story, 87,000 square foot,
Bachelor Enlisted Quarters for 200+ personnel. This project was one of the early design/build
projects administered by the Navy Facilities Engineering Command. The design
build team chose to employ the use of a pre-cast, pre-stressed hollow
core plank (with concrete topping) floor system supported on
CMU walls. The project included a structural steel and masonry,
3,000 square foot Activity Center and a structural steel Picnic Pavilion.
